You can permanently delete your UPVOR account at any time. This page explains the two ways to do it, what data is removed, and what we are required to keep for legal and tax compliance.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open the UPVOR app on your iPhone or Android device.
- Sign in if you are not already signed in.
- Tap the Profile tab, then the Settings gear icon in the top corner.
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the action when prompted. Deletion begins immediately.
Option 2 — Email request
If you no longer have access to the app or your sign-in account, send an email to info@upvor.com with the subject line "Delete my account". Include the email address or username associated with the account so we can verify ownership. We will confirm the deletion request within 5 business days and complete it within 30 days of verification.
What gets deleted
Once your deletion request is processed, the following are permanently removed from our active systems:
- Your account, profile, display name, bio, country, city, language, and avatar image
- Social-link entries (Snapchat, Instagram, X, TikTok, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, YouTube, website)
- All posts, boost activity, badges, name effects, frames, trails, and other cosmetic items
- Direct messages you sent and received
- Group chat messages you authored
- Follow relationships, blocks, and reports you filed
- Your push notification tokens and notification preferences
- Personal analytics history tied to your user ID
What we keep, and why
To meet legal, tax, and security obligations, the following are retained even after deletion:
- Transaction records for in-app purchases — retained for up to 7 years for tax and audit compliance. These records reference an internal user identifier, not your name or email.
- Anonymized moderation records — if you submitted reports, those reports remain associated with their target without identifying you, so we can detect coordinated abuse.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics — usage counts, feature adoption metrics, and similar aggregate data are retained indefinitely. They do not identify individual users.
- Audit logs — security event logs (sign-ins, password resets) are retained for up to 90 days, then permanently deleted.
Timeline
Active systems: within 30 days of your verified request.
Backups: our encrypted backups are retained on a 30-day rolling window, after which deleted data is permanently overwritten.
After 60 days, your account is fully unrecoverable.
What happens during deletion
- Your username may be released and become available for new sign-ups after 90 days.
- Public content you authored — group messages, posts visible to other users — is removed from view immediately.
- Subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the current billing period (Apple App Store and Google Play handle the actual billing termination — please cancel directly with the store provider if you want immediate refund consideration).
- You will be signed out of all devices.
